Jeeva Savithry Janardhanan is a filmmaker, Co-founder member of First Nation Combines Production Company and a film academician who is a graduate in Communicative English and a master’s in fine arts,specialised in Journalism and Video production, Jeeva made her directorial debut in 2016 with “Njaval Pazhangal”, a powerful 22-minute short film that portrays how prejudices are forced upon innocent unsuspecting children in the name of ‘norms and beliefs’. Working as Head of the Department of Cinema and Television, Sacred Heart College Kochi, Jeeva is an active member of Women in Cinema Collective Richter Scale 7.6 is her first feature film. Richter scale 7.6 is a visual chronicle which measures the intensity of survival fights of displaced people. Jeeva won the Debut Director award for Richter Scale 7.6 at the Noida International Film festival. And the film is screened in more than twenty international film festivals. She was the coordinator of FETE International Film Festival first and second edition, Director of Shades international short film festival 4TH edition, selection committee member of International Film Festival of Kerala 2023.
