Babu Joseph is a seasoned media professional with over 30 years of experience in print and television journalism. He has led the editorial team at a TV channel and managed corporate communications for various MNCs and universities. Currently serving as Director of SH School of Communication, SH College, with 8 departments and 550 students. Notable tie-ups include UNICEF for India's first incubation center and partnerships with the US Consulate for awareness programs.  

Kishore Kumar P

Dean Media Campus (SHSC), Assistant Professor

Kishore Kumar is a Dean, Senior Faculty and Mentor at School of Communication and the team lead for Animation. He has more than 22 years of experience in various fields such as a 2D Traditional Animation, 2D Digital Animation, Cartoon Animation Film Making, Financial Management and Administration.   He holds his MSc. in Visual Communication, Professional Program in Traditional 2D Animation from Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd, Technopark - Trivandrum, Diploma in Computer Studies, Diploma in Computer Hardware and Multimedia Course from Arena Multimedia.    Before entering academics, he worked as a 2D Animation Trainer at Toonz Animation Pvt Ltd which is a multinational company engaged in Animation Film Making and Training and a provider of worldwide Animation candidates. He also worked as a Technical 2D Executive at Ants Animation Bangalore and was in the production field at Tirunelveli based 2D animation production unit. During this period he has obtained sufficient skill to manage trainees.

Francis Xavier

Francis Xavier is a faculty member and a VFX compositor at the SH School of Communication. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Animation & VFX and has also worked in the film & advertising industry. He has worked in movies & international advertising industry garrard, Bio oil, Samsung, etc. He has also been a part of many advertisements and his other areas of experience. He has worked as a creative director in Deokib creations, Suvan technologies , VFX   compositor in Kerala literacy mission ( Govt Kerala ), etc He has worked as a Graphic & vfx faculty at image animation Palarivattom, assistant professor of Animation and VFX at Mes college Marampally.

Belbin P Baby

HoD & Assistant Professor

Mr. Belbin P. Baby is an experienced academic and journalist currently serving as a faculty member at the SH School of Communication. He holds a post graduate degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Calicut University. His industry experience spans ten years, encompassing roles in a reputable newspaper and publication house, where he was involved in book editing, magazine production, and video production. He continues to actively contribute to the field as a freelance journalist for various magazines and online portals. Mr. Belbin P. Baby specializes in media history, new media production, political reporting, and business journalism. He has authored several books through his research. These include "Oreyoru John Paul," a tribute to the renowned scriptwriter John Paul, "Chiriyude Godfather," a commemoration of the acclaimed filmmaker Siddique Ismail, published by Chalachithra academy, "Lalitham," a character study of the legendary Malayalam actress KPAC Lalitha, published by DC Books, "Ithivarthaha," a collaborative media history project with students, published by SH College's own publication, and "Varthakala ithuvare," a collaborative effort with prominent Malayalam visual media journalists detailing 40 years of television news history, published by Mathrubhumi Books. Mr. Belbin P. Baby is a well-known writer and researcher in film and media studies, with his work being published regularly in prominent news portals and magazines. He's expected to continue making significant contributions to the field with his ongoing research and upcoming books.

Shanthi Mathai

Assistant Professor

Shanthi Mathai holds a postgraduate degree in Communication Studies with first rank from Madurai Kamaraj University and also a PG diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, B.Ed, and UGC NET. She is an enterprising personality who carries with her a work experience of more than twenty three years across the fields of academics, journalism (reporting & editing), research, social marketing, social work and programme coordination with national and international organisations. As an academician, she has presented papers at fourteen national and international conferences as well as published research papers and articles. She has published a poetry book in Malayalam titled, 'Ethirpattu'. She possesses immense experience in organizing conferences, training programs and workshops, and has produced numerous communication materials. She has accumulated good experience with the NGO, Ecumenical Women at the United Nations, New York as a Researcher and Coordinator of Orientation programs to international delegates to the UN program of Commission on Status of Women. She has also demonstrated her skills as a resource person and delegate to various International and National conferences in US, Canada, Taiwan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Roshina Jasmine Faber

Ms. Roshina Jasmine Faber is a dedicated Graphic Design Instructor at SH School of Communication with a distinguished teaching career spanning over 9 years. She holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology and specializes in Web Design and Development. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of technologies, including Web Programming, Flash & AS3 Programming, Computer Graphics, Database & Programming Languages, Automation (Selenium with Java) and Computer Networking. With a strong foundation in both creative and technical aspects of design, Ms. Roshina Jasmine Faber is committed to providing a dynamic and engaging learning environment that empowers students to excel in the field of graphic design.

Jeeva K J

Assistant Professor

Ms. Jeeva K. J. is a faculty member in the Department of Cinema and Television. She holds a postgraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism and Video Production from Amrita Viswavidyapeetham and has 10 years of teaching experience. She also served as the Head of the Department of Cinema and Television from 2021 to 2025. In addition to her academic career, she is an active filmmaker in the Malayalam film industry. Her first feature film, Richter Scale 7.6, has been screened at more than twenty international film festivals and received the Debut Director Award at the Noida International Film Festival in 2018. She made her directorial debut in 2016 with Njaval Pazhangal, a 22-minute short film that portrays how prejudices are imposed on children through social norms and beliefs. Jeeva is the Co-founder of First Nation Combines Production Company. She has also served as the coordinator of FETE International Film Festivals, Director of the 4th edition of Shades International Short Film Festival, and a selection committee member for the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) 2023 and IDSFFK 2021.

Anoop K B

Anoop KB is an esteemed faculty member and CG supervisor at the SH School of Communication. With over 16 years of extensive experience in Animation & VFX, he has made significant contributions to the film industry. Since 2009, contributed to hundreds of domestic and international productions in various roles, from artist to supervisor. Anoop has an impressive portfolio, having worked on notable movies such as "Ordinary," "Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu," "Puthiya Theerangal," "Vaadhyar," "Sringaravelan," "Janapriyan," "Memories," "Run Baby Run," "Mayamohini," "Life of Josutty," "7th Day," and "Drishyam," among others. Additionally, he has lent his expertise to advertising projects for brands like Kairali T.M.T, Emerging Kerala, Saras, Happy Time Pappadam, and Manorama. Anoop's proficiency extends to logo plays, including Full-House Logo Plays and New Generation Cinema Logo Plays. His professional journey includes roles as a 2D Animator at Digitoonz Pvt Ltd, CGI Artist/CG supervisor at Magmyth VFX studio Pvt Ltd and freelance experience in interior and exterior 3D visualization. Anoop has also served as an Animation & VFX faculty at Image Creative Education, Kottayam and Palarivattom, where he held the position of faculty head. Furthermore, he has provided training as a faculty at N.S.D.C (National Skill Development Corporation). Anoop holds a Professional Diploma in Animation and VFX in E-media technology from Keltron (Government of Kerala undertaking). Sangeetha P S

Assistant Professor

Sangeetha P S is a UGC NET qualified Mass Communication and Journalism Post Graduate and a PhD Scholar in Film Studies. At the age of 16, Sangeetha began experimenting with the media as a news reader on a regional channel in Thrissur. Sangeetha worked as a media professional for more than 7 years in a variety of media industries, including advertising, public relations, print, television, and online journalism. She has mostly worked in marketing communication and has been associated with advertising firms such as Push Integrated Communications, Rediffusion Y&R, Chilla Films, and Ogilvy & Mather Bangalore. She has also collaborated with eminent actors like Mohanlal and Manju Warrior for the commercials of brands like Kalyan Jewellers, Dhathri Hair Oil, and Kannan Devan Tea. She started her teaching journey in 2017 at the Centre for Media Studies, Jyoti Nivas College, Autonomous Bangalore. Along with teaching and learning, she has given many research presentations at national and international conferences and published research papers in reputed journals. She has a diploma in visual editing. During the last eight years of teaching, she has got experience in organising International Media Conferences, International Short Film Festivals, Theatre performances and Media Job fairs for students.

Athira P Sajeesh

Athira P Sajeesh is a UGC-NET qualified faculty member in the Department of Journalism, with a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Mahatma Gandhi University. She began her career in journalism in 2014 as a reporter with Reporter Channel, Ernakulam, and later contributed to the Big News online portal. In 2015, she transitioned to academia, starting at LISSAH College, Calicut. With over nine years of teaching experience, she has taught at reputed institutions including St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth, and St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam. She completed her undergraduate studies at Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur, and cleared the UGC-NET in 2019. Athira combines industry experience with academic expertise, focusing on media education, journalism ethics, and digital communication.

Ms. Keerthana Sumedhan is a dedicated animation educator and industry professional with over five years of experience in 3D visualization for gaming, film, and advertising. Her production-oriented expertise enhances her academic approach, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practice. Before transitioning into academia, she worked as a 3D Visualizer at a leading events firm in Bangalore, contributing to high-profile projects across IT security, luxury retail, real estate, and alcohol branding. Keerthana holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Media (with Distinction) from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor's degree in Animation and Graphic Design from Yeldo Mar Baselios College. Her academic and technical background enables her to deliver a comprehensive, concept-driven learning experience. Her interests include 3D lighting, environment design, art history, and animation history—fields through which she fosters creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. Known for her attention to detail and student-centered approach, she is committed to mentoring emerging talent and encouraging innovation in visual storytelling.
