Abhilash K
Assistant Professor
A UGC NET (Mass Communication & Journalism) qualified academic and media professional, Abhilash K has over 8 years of experience in higher education and 6 years in the media industry. He is passionate about connecting classroom learning with real-world media practice. From 2010 to 2016, he worked with Indiavision Satellite Communication Limited in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, followed by Mathrubhumi News at Palakkad and Kozhikode. These years gave him immense experience in media production, newsroom workflows, and broadcast practices. In 2016, Abhilash transitioned into academics as an Assistant Professor , where he not only taught media production but also actively organized workshops, field trips, internships, and industry interactions, connecting students with leading media professionals. During this teaching period, he also served as Course Coordinator in Multimedia (2021–2024), managing courses in photography, video production, and multi-camera shoots, while driving student engagement through live projects and collaborative learning. Recipient of the Kerala State Photography Vajra Jubilee Fellowship (2022), he combines creative excellence with academic leadership. He has also initiated MoUs with leading film production houses, building strong industry collaborations to enhance student exposure and practical learning. At the academic level, he contributes as a Member of the Syllabus Committee at Sree Narayanaguru Open University, playing a key role in curriculum innovation and development. He remains deeply committed to advancing research and to shaping future-ready media professionals through innovation, hands-on training, and strong industry collaboration.
Keerthana Sumedhan
Assistant Professor
Ms. Keerthana Sumedhan is an Animation faculty member at SH School of Communication. With four years of industry experience, she excels in creating stunning visual content for games, films, and advertising. Recently, she served as a 3D Visualizer at an events-based company in Bangalore. She holds a postgraduate degree in Electronic Media from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor's degree in Animation and Graphic Design from Yeldo Mar Baselios College. Her areas of interest include lighting, 3D Environment design, art history, and animation history. She possesses a strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on time. Additionally, she demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a passion for staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in 3D design.6

Jordin Mathew
Assistant Professor
Mr. Jordin Mathew is a content creator with 10+ years of experience in photography & cinematography and video production, who specializes in corporate and creative media production. He started his career as as director, program producer and cameraman in Ishvani Television. Then, he worked as a cameraman at Kali Kuppi Media- a broadcasting & media production company. Meanwhile, his documentary on “Dragonflies” was released, and received critical acclaims. He has also been part of various Advertisements, films, documentary, cover songs etc. He kickstarted his teaching career as Assistant Professor at St. Joseph's College, Devagiri. He served as Executive Audio-Video Content Creator (EAVCC) at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery. He has been part of SH School of Comminication (SHSC) since June 2024. He completed his Masters in Electronic Media from Nehru Arts and Science College, Tamil Nadu, and did his Bachelors in Multimedia from St. Joseph College of Communication, Changanassery.

Fr. Paul Muriyath
Assistant Professor
Fr. Paul Muriyath is a media professional and academician currently serving as Assistant Professor and Faculty Adviser in the Department of Cinema and Television at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Kochi. With a strong foundation in multimedia and communication, he has gained valuable experience working with Shalom World Global and continues to contribute to television programming for Shalom Malayalam Television. In addition to his academic role, he is also a radio jockey for FM 89.6, hosting the morning show Morning Walk. His expertise spans across direction, editing, script writing, photography, radio presentation, and television production. Fr. Paul holds multiple degrees including an MA in Multimedia from SJCC Media College, an MA in Philosophy from Christ College, a BA in Theology from Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, and a BA in Malayalam Journalism and Copy Writing from Bharat Mata College. He also holds diplomas in Social Work from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences and Spanish (Levels 1 & 2) from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). His diverse educational background and hands-on experience make him a dynamic contributor to both academic and media platforms.

Athira P Sajeesh is a faculty member in the Department of Journalism. She is a UGC NET qualified Mass Communication and Journalism Post Graduate. She started her career as a reporter with Reporter Channel, Ernakulam, in 2014 and also worked for Big news online news portal. She started her teaching journey in 2015 at LISSAH College, Calicut and has 8 years of experience in teaching in various institutions (St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth & St. Alberts College, Ernakulam). She has completed her post-graduation from MG University, and under-graduation from Sree Kerala Varma College Thrissur.

Sangeetha P S
Assistant Professor
Sangeetha P. S. is a UGC NET-qualified Mass Communication and Journalism Postgraduate and a PhD Scholar in Film Studies. At the age of 16, Sangeetha began experimenting with the media as a news reader on a regional channel in Thrissur. Sangeetha worked as a media professional for more than 7 years in a variety of media industries, including advertising, public relations, print, television, and online journalism. She has mostly worked in marketing communication and has been associated with advertising firms such as Push Integrated Communications, Rediffusion Y&R, and Ogilvy & Mather Bangalore. She has also collaborated with eminent actors like Mohanlal and Manju Warrior for the commercials of brands like Kalyan Jewellers, Dhathri Hair Oil, and Kannan Devan Tea. She started her teaching journey in 2017 at the Centre for Media Studies, Jyoti Nivas College, Autonomous Bangalore. Along with teaching and learning, she has given many research presentations at national and international conferences and published research papers in reputed journals. She has a diploma in visual editing. During the last eight years of teaching, she has gained experience in organising international media conferences, international short film festivals, theatre performances, and media job fairs for students.

Minna Ann Andrews

Dr. Andrews is a linguist keen on exploring the 'linguistic sense' and hopes to impart the same to students and help them succeed. She is an observer on the ways to view society in terms of gender and power dissemination. Dr. Andrews has 10+ years of experience in teaching in various institutions in India (Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala; Mar Athanasius College Autonomous, Kothamangalam; T.I.M.E Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad etc). She has also associated herself with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai as a Technical Writer. Anoop K B
Assistant Professor
Anoop KB is an esteemed faculty member and CG supervisor at the SH School of Communication. With over 15 years of extensive experience in Animation & VFX, he has made significant contributions to the film industry. Since 2009, contributed to hundreds of domestic and international productions in various roles, from artist to supervisor. Anoop has an impressive portfolio, having worked on notable movies such as "Ordinary," "Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu, " "Puthiya Theerangal," "Vaadhyar," "Sringaravelan," "Janapriyan," "Memories," "Run Baby Run, " "Mayamohini," "Life of Josutty," "7th Day," and "Drishyam," among others. Additionally, he has lent his expertise to advertising projects for brands like Kairali T.M.T, Emerging Kerala, Saras, Happy Time Pappadam, and Manorama. Anoop's proficiency extends to logo plays, including Full-House Logo Plays and New Generation Cinema Logo Plays. His professional journey includes roles as a 2D Animator at Digitoonz Pvt Ltd, CGI Artist/CG supervisor at Magmyth VFX studio Pvt Ltd and freelance experience in interior and exterior 3D visualization. Anoop has also served as an Animation & VFX faculty at Image Creative Education, Kottayam and Palarivattom, where he held the position of faculty head. Furthermore, he has provided training as a faculty at N.S.D.C (National Skill Development Corporation). Anoop holds a Professional Diploma in Animation and VFX in E-media technology from Keltron (Government of Kerala undertaking). He is a B.voc graduate in sales and marketing from Tiss University, Mumbai and a Postgraduate in visual communication.
